ABOUT
My journey started when my brother came to me with a business opportunity in 2019. At that time, I had been at my current job almost for 10 years. I made the decision to take the leap of faith to start a business with my big brother! So, I resigned from my government job and enrolled into a CDL school in Dallas, TX.
Over the course of 4 weeks, I learned all about trucking. This was an experience and a field I never expected to be in. I knew nothing about driving an 18-wheeler. Once I got my CDL, I started driving for Werner for the next 5 to 6 months.
My brother and I had a game plan. Once I learned and became comfortable with driving an 18-wheeler; we would purchase a truck! Big Red was my first truck. I became an owner operator. I drove for the next year. After a year of driving, my brother decided to add more trucks to the fleet. He went on to purchase 4 to 5 more trucks. That’s when I went from driving to dispatching for the fleet. I am currently dispatching his 5 trucks.
This is what led me to start my dispatching company. Now I teach classes and dispatch full time. I wouldn’t change anything about this journey! The good the bad, the ugly trucking isn’t for the weak! Follow my journey for more. This is only the beginning! Year 3 let’s go!
